The Consulting Group at Virginia Tech
Bridging the gap between VT students and consulting firms around the world
Welcome to CGVT's Fall 2021 Recruitment!
Thank you for your interest in CGVT! We are in recruiting mode and looking for our next group of driven individuals to grow our organization. We’d love to learn more about you, and if you are interested in our organization, please apply below.
The Consulting Group at Virginia Tech was founded in 2010 to make Virginia Tech a world leader in molding consulting and business talent. Our mission is to embody Ut Prosim, "that I may serve," through nonprofit consulting and, in doing so, prepare our members to land jobs and excel at top companies upon graduation.
CGVT is bridging the gap between Virginia Tech students and business consulting firms from around the world. As an industry-oriented organization, we encourage students to learn more about the exciting and fast-changing consulting world. Our Analysts work with local, regional, and multinational clients to develop strategic business solutions while advancing their knowledge and honing their skills on real projects.
CGVT prides itself on client service excellence, but even more so on member development. New members begin their journey in our robust 8 week course, The Associates Program, and leave with invaluable project experience, a vast network, and the confidence to start their professional career strongly.
CGVT works with 10-15 clients annually across a wide variety of service areas, such as growth and marketing strategies, business plan formation, and more! Our project work is a great introduction to a professional career in consulting.
After joining CGVT, you gain access to a large network of professionals who have been through our organization. A number of our alumni remain involved in the organization and are willing to help out with your career goals.
Much like at most consulting firms, there are lots of opportunities to be involved in the organization outside of project work. Members work closely with our leadership in subteams to take on tasks related to client acquisition, recruitment, organizational development, and internal matters. We also plan out multiple social events per semester to help our members get to know each other.
